Our Founding Attorney, Ryan Michael Garvey, is a former DUI/DWI and Criminal Deputy Prosecuting Attorney who has litigated well over 1,000 DUI/DWI and Criminal cases. He left the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in the unique position of having an undefeated trial record, never losing a DUI or Criminal trial. While a prosecutor, Mr. Garvey gained intimate knowledge and experience of the inner-workings of how police and prosecutors handle case loads, file DUI and criminal charges and litigate their cases. It is this unique approach to criminal defense that has allowed Puget Sound Defense to be so successful in resolving our client's cases.

Formally trained by the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., Mr. Garvey went on to be selected to train in Criminal Litigation at the DOJ and NDAA’s highly sought after National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Bringing his skills, tenacity and experience to the arena of DUI/DWI and Criminal defense work, Mr. Garvey has built Puget Sound Defense into one of the preeminent defense firms in the Puget Sound region.
